    Kimberley LNG protestor fined

A man and a woman have appeared in the Broome Magistrates Court charged over a protest at the site of the Kimberley LNG precinct.

Fergus Reid and Amanda Byrom locked themselves onto a 44-gallon drum on Manari Road yesterday, blocking a Woodside convoy.

Today they pleaded guilty to obstruction and failing to obey orders given by an officer.

Reid was fined $400 plus court costs.

Byrom was placed on a conditional release order and received a spent conviction.

Another protestor has spent the night locked to a drum on the same road.
