Greece's left-wing government "may very well" resign if a referendum this weekend on bailout conditions results in a 'Yes' vote, Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis said Thursday.

Asked on Australian public radio network ABC if the government would resign in that case and hand over to a caretaker administration, Varoufakis said: "Yes, we may very well do that. But we will do this in the spirit of cooperation with whoever takes over from us."
