Australian shares have finished firmer after better than expected US jobs figures continued to lift sentiment on global equities markets.
At the close on Monday, Australia's benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 44.8 points, or 1.05 per cent, at 4,296, while the broader All Ordinaries index was 44.5 points, or 1.03 per cent, stronger at 4,364.6.
On the ASX 24, the March share price index futures contract was 44 points up at 4,266 with 22,609 contracts traded.
