‘MIND BLOWN’: Secret Apple iPhone hack shocks users

Time is something we never feel we have enough of, so when a little-known hack that can shave a few minutes off a regular task comes along, we need to learn it.

Jaws dropped in the iPhone community after a video went viral showing users a secret control hack using the Apple logo on the back of the phone.

What’s long been thought to be a simple - and sleek - logo design is actually a clever control button - once you activate it, of course.

A video shared by Instagrammer Tenille Serpa shows that a certain setting allows users to take screenshots or activate Siri all with a simple tap of the logo.

Here’s how:

1. Go to your settings;

2. Scroll down and click on Accessibility;

3. Click on ‘Touch’;

4. Scroll down and click on ‘Back tap’;

5. Click on ‘Double Tap’;

6. Choose which system you want the double tap to activate.

It even works with your phone case on.

Users were gobsmacked by the hack, saying they had “no idea”.

“Are you freakin serious?!” One user commented.

“Mind blown,” another said. “This is so cool!” Added another.

But it’s not the only hack that users haven’t heard about.

TikToker Kaansanity has dedicated a whole series of videos to sharing secret iPhone tricks that can shave time off fiddly controls.

Group your apps together quickly

Moving apps around your home screen can be tricky, but Kaansanity revealed a simpler way to do it.

Hold down a single app until it jiggles.

Then, still holding that one down, click others to group them together. Then you can move multiple apps at the same time.

Copy & Paste

This one is truly mind blowing.

To copy and paste text on your phone, click on the text, swipe in with three fingers to copy.

Then, tap the area you want to paste it to, and swipe out with three fingers to paste.
